Management Coaching · Leadership Development · Sessions & Packages

Leadership is a skill. It can be learned.

Most managers are promoted because they were excellent individual contributors - then handed a team and expected to figure out the rest. René Cole has spent two decades watching what separates managers who build great teams from those who struggle. That perspective is the foundation of every engagement.

What management coaching actually covers.

The challenges new and emerging managers face are remarkably consistent: managing former peers, giving critical feedback without damaging relationships, delegating without losing quality, building accountability without micromanaging, and establishing authority while staying approachable.

More senior leaders face a different set: influencing without direct authority, building executive presence, navigating organizational politics, developing the leaders below them, and making the shift from doing to enabling.

Every engagement starts with a clear picture of where you are, what's getting in the way, and what success looks like. The work is practical - real situations, real language, real decisions - not theoretical frameworks.

Coaching from someone who has been on both sides.

Most leadership coaches come from a psychology or organizational development background. René Cole comes from talent management - two decades of sourcing, selecting, and developing leaders across industries.

That means she's seen what good management looks like from the outside - what makes a leader's team want to stay, what makes top performers leave, and what hiring managers are actually evaluating when they consider someone for a leadership role.

The coaching is grounded in that perspective: practical, direct, and focused on what actually changes behavior and outcomes.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between a single session and a package?

A single session is right when you have a specific, bounded challenge - a difficult conversation coming up, a promotion decision to navigate, or a team dynamic you need to think through. Packages are for sustained development: building new habits, changing how you show up over time, and having a thinking partner through a longer arc of leadership growth. Most clients start with a session and move into a package once they see the value.

How are management coaching packages priced?

Packages are priced at industry-standard rates - typically $1,500 to $5,000 depending on scope, duration, and the level of the leader. A 3-session focused package for a new manager navigating a specific transition sits at the lower end. A longer engagement for a senior leader working on executive presence and organizational influence sits higher. All packages are scoped in a discovery call before any commitment.

Is this coaching or therapy?

Coaching. The focus is on performance, strategy, and behavior in a professional context - not on processing the past or working through personal history. That said, good coaching often surfaces things that feel personal, because leadership is personal. The distinction is that we stay focused on what you want to change and how to change it.

Can my company pay for this?

Yes - and many do. Corporate-sponsored coaching is common at the manager and director level, and René works with both individuals and organizations. If you're exploring whether your employer would cover it, we can talk through how to make that ask.
